Books That Have Influenced Me
Occasionally you find a book that impacts your life and actually changes you in some way. Here is a list of some of the books have had that effect:
What's So Amazing About Grace by Phillip Yancey.
God used this wonderful book to change my relationship with Him. Like Mr.Yancey, my first exposure to Christianity was graceless. This book revolutionized my faith.
The Jesus I Never Knew and Where is God When It Hurts by Phillip Yancey.
Both of these are important and thoughtful books. Where is God When It Hurts is especially important after the events of 9/11.
Roaring Lambs by Bob Briner.
My late friend Bob Briner started a revolution with this incredible book. He wisely encouraged us to be Christian where we were and not view ministry as a separate vocation.

If you are a man who struggles on occasion with sexual temptation (definition: if you are a man who is breathing) then this is a helpful and honest book. Hey guys, if it could happen to King David it can happen to us. Read this book.
How Now Shall We Live? by Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcey
The best book I have found to understand the Christian worldview and how and why it is in conflict with other worldviews. Mr. Colson's insights are found at breakpoint.org.

A great resource that is much more than their excellent magazine. I check this site everyday.
World Magazine.
I subscribe to World Magazine to balance out the secular news weekly mags and give me information through the Christian worldview. It is well written and challenging.
